Wine cellar design

A cellar designed around the bottles you love.

Spencer & Lynn offers wine cellar consultations and design, from a converted closet to a dedicated cellar room. Ryan plans the racking, cooling and lighting with you, and the shop can help you fill it. Build options are discussed at your consultation.

What we design

Three kinds of cellar projects.

Every space is different. Most cellars start as one of these.

  • Closet and under stair conversions

A closet, pantry or the space under the stairs, planned as a temperature controlled cellar with racking from floor to ceiling.

  • Dedicated cellar rooms

A basement or spare room planned with insulation, cooling, racking, lighting and a glass door. Room to grow and to age wine for years.

  • Display walls and racking

Wall racking and display shelving for dining rooms, home bars and restaurants, for the bottles you open often and like to see.

How it works

From first call to first bottle.

  1. Consultation

Ryan asks about the space, the wine you drink and the wine you save.

  2. Design

A plan for the racking, cooling, lighting and door, shaped around your bottles.

  3. Build options

We talk through who builds it and when.

  4. Fill it

If you like, the shop puts together bottles to drink now and bottles to lay down.

Stocked by the shop.

A cellar is only as good as what is in it. The shop builds a starting collection around how you drink: bottles for this year, and bottles worth the wait.

Questions

Before you call.

Where do you work?

Tell us your town in the planner below and Ryan will tell you what is possible.

Can you stock the cellar too?

Yes. The shop can put together a starting collection, from bottles to drink this year to bottles worth waiting for.

What if I am not sure what I need?

That is a fine place to start. Pick Not sure yet in the planner and Ryan can help you decide.
