Tasting Notes:
ArteNOM 1123 Histórico is an innovative “reposado histórico” expression inspired by 19th-century practices of shipping tequila in sherry casks. Aged for 8 months in American oak before being finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry barrels, it offers a layered, dessert-like profile. The nose bursts with roasted agave, dried figs, raisins, and caramelized nuts, lifted by hints of baking spice and orange peel. On the palate, rich agave sweetness melds with notes of dates, cocoa, toffee, and a gentle winey depth from the PX influence. The finish is long, warming, and luxuriously smooth.

About the Producer:
ArteNOM curates exceptional tequilas from renowned distilleries, each showcasing its own terroir and technique. Selección de 1123 is crafted at Tequila Cascahuín in El Arenal, a family-run distillery known for its commitment to traditional, additive-free production. Mature agaves are cooked in stone ovens, roller-milled, fermented with natural yeast in stainless steel tanks, and double-distilled in copper pot stills. The PX sherry cask finish honors historic transport methods while creating a modern, complex sipping tequila.
