About the Producer:
El Tesoro is crafted at La Alteña Distillery in Arandas, Jalisco, founded in 1937 by Don Felipe Camarena. To this day, the Camarena family maintains traditional, artisanal production methods—slow-roasting estate-grown agaves in stone ovens, crushing them with a two-ton volcanic stone tahona, fermenting naturally, and distilling to proof without dilution. The result is a tequila of remarkable purity and complexity, with the Añejo expression showcasing the elegance of long oak aging while preserving the essence of highland agave.
