Tasting Note:
Jacques Carillon’s 2024 Puligny-Montrachet is a refined expression of one of Burgundy’s most celebrated white wine appellations. Lemon zest, white peach, ripe pear, green apple, white flowers, toasted hazelnut, and subtle baking spice lead into a finely textured, mineral-driven palate. The cooler 2024 vintage brings freshness and precision, while restrained oak aging adds depth without overwhelming the fruit. Elegant and focused, with vibrant acidity, a chalky mineral backbone, and a long, saline finish. A classic Puligny-Montrachet with the structure to develop beautifully over the coming years.
About the Producer:
Domaine Jacques Carillon is one of Puligny-Montrachet’s historic family estates, with winemaking roots in the village dating back to the 16th century. Jacques established his own domaine in 2010 following the division of Domaine Louis Carillon between himself and his brother François. Today, he continues the family’s traditional approach, emphasizing meticulous vineyard work, restrained oak, and patient élevage. His wines are celebrated for their purity, precision, and remarkable expression of Puligny’s limestone-rich terroir, combining elegance with mineral depth and longevity.
