Tasting Note:
Renewal’s 2023 Chardonnay is a fresh, elegant expression of Oregon’s Willamette Valley, balancing bright citrus fruit with gentle richness and mineral precision. Green apple, ripe pear, Meyer lemon, white peach, and delicate floral notes lead into a lively, textured palate. Refreshing acidity keeps the fruit focused, while subtle savory and mineral notes carry through a clean, balanced finish. A versatile, food-friendly Chardonnay with enough texture for roast poultry, seafood, and creamy dishes.
About the Producer:
Renewal Chardonnay is produced by Brooks Winery, a pioneering Oregon estate founded in 1998 by Jimi Brooks in the Eola-Amity Hills of the Willamette Valley. An early advocate of biodynamic farming and minimal-intervention winemaking, Jimi helped establish Brooks as a benchmark for expressive, terroir-driven Oregon wines. Following his untimely passing in 2004, his sister Janie Brooks Heuck stepped in to preserve the winery for Jimi’s young son, Pascal. Today, Brooks continues its commitment to organic and biodynamic farming, thoughtful vineyard sourcing, and wines that emphasize freshness, balance, and a strong sense of place. Renewal Chardonnay reflects that philosophy, offering an approachable expression of Willamette Valley Chardonnay.
