Tasting Note:
Clos des Rocs’ 2025 “En Prés Forêt” is a beautifully expressive Mâconnais Chardonnay, combining generous orchard fruit with the freshness and mineral precision of southern Burgundy. Ripe pear, yellow apple, white peach, lemon zest, and delicate white flowers lead into a textured, energetic palate. Subtle notes of almond and crushed limestone add complexity, while vibrant acidity carries through a long, clean finish. Elegant and approachable, with enough depth to make it a versatile companion for seafood, roast poultry, and creamy cheeses.

About the Producer:
Clos des Rocs is a small, organically farmed estate in Loché, in the southern Mâconnais, led by Olivier Giroux. Since taking over the domaine in 2002, Giroux has focused on meticulous vineyard work, low yields, indigenous fermentations, and restrained cellar intervention. His holdings include some of the region’s most distinctive limestone-rich sites, particularly around Pouilly-Loché and Pouilly-Fuissé. The wines are celebrated for their purity, texture, and mineral precision, offering a compelling expression of Chardonnay from one of Burgundy’s most exciting and historically undervalued regions.
