Tasting Note:
Clean, precise, and quietly elegant, the Bechtold Crémant d’Alsace opens with aromas of green apple, pear, and lemon zest, followed by subtle notes of brioche and crushed stone. The palate is crisp and dry, with fine, persistent bubbles and a chalky mineral line. Pinot Auxerrois lends gentle roundness while Pinot Blanc brings lift and freshness. The finish is bright, saline, and refreshing—an ideal aperitif sparkler that punches well above its weight.

About the Producer:
Domaine Bechtold is a family-run estate in Dahlenheim, Alsace, now led by Jean-Philippe Bechtold. Farming has been certified organic for decades, with a deep focus on soil health, biodiversity, and low yields. In the cellar, Bechtold favors minimal intervention and long élevage to allow wines to develop naturally and transparently. Their Crémants are a benchmark for the region—dry, mineral, and gastronomic—showcasing Alsace’s ability to produce world-class traditional-method sparkling wine with restraint and finesse.
