Tasting Notes:
La Gritona Reposado is a bright, herbaceous tequila that spends 8 months in reused American whiskey barrels, allowing the agave to remain the star. Aromas of baked agave, green pepper, and citrus zest lead into a palate of fresh herbs, light caramel, and faint vanilla, with subtle barrel spice and mineral undertones. The finish is crisp, dry, and earthy—refreshingly far from the overly sweet profiles of many aged tequilas.

About the Producer:
La Gritona is a women-led tequila project headed by Melly Barajas Cárdenas, produced entirely at her small distillery in Valle de Guadalupe, Jalisco. Only mature blue weber agaves are used, grown in the highlands and slow-cooked in brick ovens. The agave is crushed with a roller mill, fermented with natural yeasts, and double-distilled in stainless steel stills with copper coils. No additives, sweeteners, or coloring agents are used, and bottles are hand-blown from recycled glass in Guadalajara. The result is a clean, honest tequila that proudly champions both tradition and authenticity.
