Tasting Note:
The 2024 Lantignié is a vibrant, joyful expression of Gamay rooted firmly in granite. Aromas of fresh raspberry, red cherry, and wild strawberry leap from the glass, joined by violet, peony, and a hint of white pepper. On the palate, it’s light on its feet and irresistibly juicy, with bright acidity, silky tannins, and a clean mineral snap that keeps everything lifted. Pure, energetic, and wildly drinkable, this is Beaujolais made for the table—and the next glass.
About the Producer:
Yann Bertrand is one of Beaujolais’ most exciting natural-leaning growers, farming organically and biodynamically in Fleurie and the surrounding villages. Influenced early on by Jean-Paul Brun, Bertrand focuses on old vines, granite soils, and minimal cellar intervention—native fermentations, gentle extraction, little to no sulfur—to capture freshness and place. His Lantignié bottling showcases the village’s granite-driven clarity and floral lift, offering an honest, expressive take on Beaujolais that balances purity, charm, and terroir.
