Tasting Note:
Guy Breton’s Régnié 2021 is pure “gulpable serious” Beaujolais: bright red fruit, floral lift, and that stony granitic crunch that keeps everything vivid. Think wild strawberry, sour cherry, and raspberry, plus violets and a little cracked pepper. The palate is light to medium-bodied, silky, and super fresh, with just enough tannin to make it feel like real wine at the table. Give it a slight chill and it’s basically a cheat code for roast chicken, charcuterie, burgers, or anything off the grill.
About the Producer:
Guy Breton is one of the classic “Gang of Four” orbit Beaujolais names (natural-leaning, old-vine Gamay, minimal cellar makeup) known for wines that feel alive, pure, and effortlessly drinkable. His Régnié is a perfect example: bright, transparent Gamay with real depth, made to disappear with food and friends.
