Tasting Note:
Château Yvonne’s 2024 “L’Île Quatre Sous” is a vibrant, beautifully expressive Cabernet Franc that captures the freshness and savory character of the Loire Valley. Bright raspberry, red cherry, blackcurrant, violet, crushed pepper, and fresh herbs lead into a lively, medium-bodied palate. Fine tannins and bright acidity frame the fruit, while a subtle limestone minerality carries through the clean, savory finish. Elegant and approachable, this is Loire Cabernet Franc at its most inviting, equally enjoyable with a slight chill or alongside a proper meal.

About the Producer:
Château Yvonne is one of Saumur’s most respected estates, revived in 1997 and led by Matthieu Vallée since 2007. Based in Parnay, the domaine farms organically and biodynamically, working with Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc on the region’s distinctive limestone soils. Native fermentations, restrained extraction, and patient élevage define the house style, producing wines celebrated for their purity, precision, and remarkable sense of place. “L’Île Quatre Sous” offers a fresh, accessible introduction to the domaine’s elegant expression of Cabernet Franc.
