Tasting Note:
Laurent Lebled’s 2024 “On Est Su l’Sable” is a bright, energetic expression of Loire Valley Cabernet Franc, emphasizing freshness and drinkability over weight or extraction. Juicy raspberry, wild strawberry, red cherry, violet, and cracked pepper meet subtle notes of fresh herbs and earth. Whole-cluster carbonic fermentation brings lifted aromatics and supple tannins, while lively acidity keeps the palate refreshing. Light-bodied, savory, and wonderfully expressive, this is a Cabernet Franc that benefits from a slight chill and belongs on the table with good food.

About the Producer:
Laurent Lebled is a natural-wine producer based in Savigny-en-Véron, in the Loire Valley. After a career outside the wine industry, Laurent began making wine in 2010, focusing on organically farmed vineyards, indigenous fermentations, and minimal intervention. His wines are known for their purity, freshness, and playful character, often highlighting the lighter, more aromatic side of Loire Valley reds. “On Est Su l’Sable” showcases his distinctive approach to Cabernet Franc, combining whole-cluster fermentation, minimal sulfur, and an emphasis on vibrant fruit and savory complexity.
