Tasting Note:
A benchmark Northern Rhône Syrah, this Crozes-Hermitage is vivid, aromatic, and classically structured. The 2023 vintage shows layers of blackberry, black olive, smoked meat, and cracked pepper, underpinned by lively acidity and fine tannins. Whole-cluster fermentation adds lift and complexity, giving the wine a floral edge and savory depth. It’s youthful and energetic now but built to evolve—balancing freshness with signature Graillot precision and restraint.
Food Pairings:
Pair with grilled lamb, roast duck, mushroom risotto, or anything with black garlic, lentils, or Mediterranean herbs. Also excellent with aged cheeses or charcuterie.
About the Producer:
Founded in 1985 by the late Alain Graillot, the domaine is now led by his son Maxime, continuing a legacy of producing honest, terroir-driven Syrah with minimal intervention. Based in Crozes-Hermitage, Graillot helped redefine the appellation with a focus on whole-cluster fermentation, organic farming, and nuanced winemaking. These are wines of place, pedigree, and purity—essential Northern Rhône.
