Tasting Note:
Château Combel-la-Serre’s “L’Épatant Antidote” is a bright, expressive rosé that offers a refreshing departure from the usual Provence style. Made from Malbec in Cahors, it delivers wild strawberry, raspberry, red currant, blood orange, and subtle floral notes, with a savory herbal edge. The palate is lively and textured, balancing juicy red fruit with crisp acidity and a clean, mineral finish. A versatile, food-friendly rosé with plenty of character.

About the Producer:
Château Combel-la-Serre is a family estate in Cahors, led by Julien Ilbert and his wife, Sophie. The Ilbert family has grown grapes in the region for generations, but Julien began estate bottling in 1998 after previously selling fruit to the local cooperative. Today, the domaine farms organically, focusing on expressive, terroir-driven Malbec from the limestone plateaus and clay-rich slopes of Cahors. Their wines offer a fresher, more energetic interpretation of the region, combining traditional farming with thoughtful, low-intervention winemaking.
