Tasting Note:
The 2022 Côte aux Prêtres is a vivid and mineral-driven expression of Chablis, crafted from one of the estate’s steepest and most limestone-rich sites. The nose opens with citrus blossom, green apple, and lemon zest alongside crushed oyster shell and chalk. The palate is taut and focused, delivering flavors of pear, white peach, and citrus peel framed by racy acidity and a fine, saline edge. Textural depth from lees aging adds weight without diminishing purity. The finish is long and precise, marked by stony minerality and vibrant citrus energy. A Chablis of intensity and finesse with strong aging potential.

About the Producer:
Château de Béru has been in the de Béru family for over 400 years and is today run by Athénaïs de Béru, who has transformed the domaine into one of the most exciting names in Chablis. Farming is certified organic and biodynamic, with winemaking guided by minimal intervention and a focus on terroir transparency. The wines of Château de Béru are pure, energetic, and deeply mineral, capturing the singular character of Chablis’ limestone soils.
