Tasting Note:
Domaine Chevrot’s 2023 Bourgogne Rouge is bright, floral, and easy to enjoy young. It shows red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, violet, light spice, and a subtle earthy-mineral note. The palate is light-bodied and fresh, with silky tannins, lively acidity, and a clean, juicy finish. Classic everyday red Burgundy: pure Pinot Noir fruit, just enough structure, and great energy with a slight chill.
About the Producer:
Domaine Chevrot is a family estate in Cheilly-lès-Maranges, at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune. Brothers Pablo and Vincent Chevrot farm old family parcels across Maranges, Santenay, and the Hautes-Côtes, with a focus on organic viticulture, native yeasts, low sulfur, and transparent wines that show their place clearly. Their Bourgogne Rouge is the domaine’s playful, early-drinking Pinot Noir, sourced from serious Maranges terroir but bottled for freshness and value.
