Tasting Note:
Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec is one of those “quietly legendary” whites that feels both comforting and razor-clear. You’ll get ripe pear, quince, and baked apple, plus acacia honey, chamomile, and a little ginger spice, all pinned to a chalky, wet-stone backbone. The sweetness is real but never sticky—Huet’s acid line keeps it lifted, mouthwatering, and dangerously drinkable. It’s the kind of wine that can do double duty: gorgeous on its own, and even better with food. Also worth saying: this is a bottle that can age beautifully, turning more honeyed, nutty, and complex over time.
About the Producer:
Domaine Huet is a benchmark name in Vouvray—one of the estates that made the region’s case for world-class Chenin Blanc. Clos du Bourg is often the most structured and “serious” of their sites, and the Demi-Sec version is where that structure meets generosity: vivid fruit, mineral tension, and balance that feels effortless.
