Tasting Note:
Foradori’s 2024 Fontanasanta Nosiola is a beautifully textured, deeply expressive skin-contact white that showcases one of Trentino’s most distinctive indigenous grapes. Ripe pear, yellow apple, quince, chamomile, dried flowers, almond, and subtle herbal spice unfold across a layered, savory palate. Extended amphora maceration adds gentle tannins and remarkable depth, while vibrant acidity and limestone minerality keep the wine fresh and precise. Complex and quietly powerful, with a long, saline finish and excellent aging potential.
About the Producer:
Foradori is one of Italy’s most influential biodynamic estates, located in Mezzolombardo in Trentino’s Campo Rotaliano. Elisabetta Foradori took over the family winery in 1984 and became internationally recognized for reviving Teroldego through massal selection, biodynamic farming, and minimal-intervention winemaking. Today, her children Emilio and Theo Zierock continue the estate’s commitment to biodiversity, indigenous varieties, and thoughtful cellar work. Fontanasanta Nosiola reflects the family’s dedication to preserving Trentino’s native grapes, using extended skin contact in clay amphorae to reveal the variety’s remarkable texture, savory complexity, and aging potential.
