Tasting Note:
Foradori’s 2023 Teroldego is a beautifully expressive Alpine red that combines dark fruit with remarkable freshness and mineral precision. Blackberry, black cherry, wild plum, violet, crushed stone, and subtle earthy spice lead into a vibrant, medium-bodied palate. Fine tannins and lively acidity give the wine structure without heaviness, while a savory mineral edge carries through the long, refreshing finish. A compelling introduction to Teroldego, offering both immediate drinkability and the depth to reward a few years in bottle.
About the Producer:
Foradori is one of Italy’s most influential biodynamic estates, located in Mezzolombardo in Trentino’s Campo Rotaliano. Elisabetta Foradori took over the family winery in 1984 and helped revive Teroldego, an indigenous grape once overlooked for its potential to produce serious, terroir-driven wines. Through massal selection, biodynamic farming, indigenous fermentations, and patient aging, she transformed the estate into a benchmark for natural and biodynamic winemaking. Today, her children Emilio and Theo Zierock continue that philosophy, producing wines that reflect the unique alluvial soils and Alpine climate of Trentino.
