Tasting Note:
François Ganevat’s 2023 “En Billat” is an elegant, mineral-driven Jura Pinot Noir with remarkable purity and finesse. Wild strawberry, red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, violet, and subtle forest floor notes lead into a silky, finely textured palate. Bright acidity and delicate tannins give the wine structure without heaviness, while a savory limestone character carries through a long, graceful finish. A beautifully expressive, terroir-driven Pinot Noir with excellent aging potential.

About the Producer:
François Ganevat is one of the Jura’s most influential and sought-after winemakers, based in Rotalier in the southern reaches of the region. After working at Domaine Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet, François returned to his family’s estate in 1998, bringing a Burgundian sensibility to the Jura’s traditional varieties and terroirs. He farms biodynamically, works with old vines and massal selections, and favors indigenous fermentations, extended élevage, and minimal sulfur. His wines are celebrated for their extraordinary purity, mineral precision, and remarkable ability to express individual vineyard sites.
