The 2022 Ognostro Rosso is a soulful, new-wave expression of Aglianico—bright, energetic, and utterly drinkable. Aromas of wild cherry, plum, and pomegranate are lifted by Mediterranean herbs, smoke, and mineral spice. On the palate, it’s juicy yet structured, with ripe red fruit, earthy depth, and fine tannins softened by amphora aging. The finish is vibrant, savory, and long, showing Aglianico’s power in a fresher, natural-leaning style. Chillable yet serious, this is Aglianico reimagined.

About the Producer:
Marco Tinessa, a former wine broker turned vigneron, works in tiny quantities from rented Aglianico vineyards in Irpinia. His Ognostro label represents a highly personal, artisanal approach—organic farming, natural fermentations, and aging in amphora and neutral vessels. The result is Aglianico with finesse and freshness, bridging Campania’s tradition with modern, natural energy.
