Tasting Note:
Nino Costa’s Roero Arneis balances fresh orchard fruit with a gently rounded texture. Pear, citrus, and fresh herbs lead into a lively palate with a clean, stony finish. There is enough richness to stand alongside a meal without losing the freshness that makes this such a versatile white. Pour it with lemon-roasted fish, shrimp risotto, or ricotta ravioli with butter and sage.
About the Producer:
Nino Costa is a family estate in Montà d’Alba, in Piedmont’s Roero hills. Alessandro Costa leads the winemaking, having taken over in 2009 after studying in Turin and working in France and the United States. The family focuses on local varieties, including Arneis and Nebbiolo, and uses organic farming methods, natural fertilizers, and no herbicides. Their Arneis shows a different side of Piedmont: fragrant white fruit, savory detail, and enough texture for the dinner table.
