Tasting Note:
The 2025 SP68 Rosso embodies Arianna Occhipinti’s hallmark balance of freshness, energy, and southern soul. A bright, aromatic blend of Frappato and Nero d’Avola, it opens with scents of red cherry, wild strawberry, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is juicy and silken, weaving sun-warmed fruit with notes of spice, citrus zest, and savory earth. Lively acidity and fine, sand-dusted tannins carry through a long, saline finish. This is pure, transparent Sicilian wine—vivid, honest, and full of life. Serve slightly chilled with grilled vegetables, tomato pasta, or seared tuna.

About the Producer:
Arianna Occhipinti is one of Sicily’s defining voices in natural winemaking. Working on her family’s land in Vittoria since 2004, she farms organically and biodynamically, crafting wines that are soulful reflections of the Hyblaean landscape. Her SP68 wines—named after the old road running past her vines—capture the spirit of Sicily’s southeast: wild herbs, sun, wind, and limestone. Arianna’s approach in the cellar is intuitive and minimalist, guided by native yeasts, concrete aging, and a commitment to authenticity over adornment. The result is wine that’s vibrant, expressive, and deeply tied to place.
