Tasting Note:
Olivier Morin’s 2023 Bourgogne Aligoté is a bright, energetic expression of Burgundy’s often-overlooked white grape. Lemon zest, green apple, white peach, citrus blossom, and subtle herbal notes lead into a crisp, mineral-driven palate. Lively acidity and a delicate saline character keep the wine refreshing, while a gentle texture adds depth and balance. Clean, focused, and wonderfully versatile, this is classic northern Burgundy Aligoté with plenty of personality.

About the Producer:
Domaine Olivier Morin is a small family estate in Chitry-le-Fort, in Burgundy’s Auxerrois region, just southwest of Chablis. Olivier returned to his family’s vineyards in the early 1990s after studying winemaking in Beaune, focusing on traditional Burgundian varieties and the distinctive limestone-rich terroir of northern Burgundy. His wines emphasize freshness, purity, and restrained cellar intervention, offering expressive, terroir-driven alternatives to the region’s more famous appellations. His Bourgogne Aligoté highlights the grape’s natural acidity, mineral precision, and remarkable versatility at the table.
