Tasting Note:
Georges Lignier’s 2022 Chambolle-Musigny is a beautifully expressive Pinot Noir that combines the appellation’s signature elegance with the generosity of the vintage. Wild raspberry, red cherry, strawberry, violet, rose petal, and subtle baking spice lead into a silky, finely textured palate. Delicate tannins and vibrant acidity provide structure without heaviness, while notes of forest floor and crushed limestone add savory complexity. Refined and aromatic, with a long, graceful finish that captures the unmistakable finesse of Chambolle-Musigny.
About the Producer:
Domaine Georges Lignier & Fils is a historic family estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis, with roots in Burgundy dating back to the late 19th century. Today, the domaine is led by Benoît Stehly, the fourth generation of the family, who continues its traditional approach to vineyard management and winemaking. The estate farms approximately 16 hectares across some of the Côte de Nuits’ most celebrated appellations, including Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and several Grand Crus. Known for meticulous vineyard work, restrained oak, and an emphasis on purity and terroir, the domaine produces wines that balance classical Burgundian structure with elegance and aromatic precision.
