Tasting Note:
La Distesa’s 2022 “Terre Silvate” is a beautifully textured, savory white that showcases the more expressive side of Marche’s native grapes. Ripe pear, yellow apple, preserved lemon, chamomile, dried herbs, and subtle almond notes unfold across a layered palate. Gentle skin contact adds structure and a pleasantly bitter edge, while bright acidity and a distinctive saline minerality keep the wine fresh and focused. Complex and quietly rustic, with a long, savory finish that makes it especially compelling alongside food.

About the Producer:
La Distesa is the small, organically farmed estate of Corrado Dottori and his wife, Valeria, in the hills of Cupramontana, one of the historic centers of Verdicchio production in the Marche. After returning to his family’s land in the early 2000s, Corrado embraced organic farming, indigenous fermentations, and minimal-intervention winemaking, becoming one of the region’s most respected natural-wine producers. His wines challenge conventional expectations of Verdicchio, emphasizing texture, savory complexity, and a profound connection to the limestone-rich hillsides of Cupramontana.
